Nuit Blanche is an (annual) night-time contemporary art festival that started in Paris in 2002, and since then spread around the world, taking hold from Montreal to Madrid and Lima to Leeds.A Nuit Blanche will typically offer a wide collection of art, installations, theatre, exhibitions, interactive- and musical projects in private and public art galleries, cultural institutions and at unconventional places that are open and free of charge during the night.On the 20th of June 2009 Nuit Blanche introduced a pre-event called La Petite Nuit Blanche in Amsterdam. This event showed, on a smaller scale, what the official edition in 2010 is all about.
